The nose visor is raised for supersonic flight to protect the windshield from temperatures of up to 248F (120C). The aircraft's wings, which are produced by Aerospatiale in France, have elevons that work together as elevators and differentially as ailerons. There are no flaps; control is built into the wings through camber, taper, droop and twist.
